Master of Science in Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering program offers both thesis and non-thesis options for the Master of Science with a major in civil engineering. Either option must be approved by the student’s advisor:

Thesis Option 

In addition to a minimum of 24 credits of course work, this option requires a research thesis (6 credits) for a 30 credit minimum total. The research and thesis describe the results of an in-depth research investigation and is directed by a graduate advisor. This option allows for 3 core courses, a 4 course concentration, and 1 course in other concentration.

Non-Thesis Option

This option requires a minimum of 30 credits of course work. The Non-Thesis option allows for 3 core courses, a 4 course concentration, and 3 courses in other concentration. This option is well suited to persons with professional experience.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Online Graduate Application - There is a non-refundable $60 application fee.
  • Transcripts - Official transcripts from EACH College and/or University you have attended.  Must be in a sealed envelope from the institution or sent electronically from the institution directly to ksugrad@kennesaw.edu.
  • Statement of Purpose  (Can be uploaded into the online application) 
  • Successful applicants will have a Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
