Dr. Mark Forehand began his career at KSU in March of 2014 in the Division of Global Affairs. He has held positions as Director of English for Academic Programs, Interim Director of the Intensive English Program and prior to his current role, Director of the International Student and Scholar Services office. In that role he was nominated and awarded Supervisor of the Year for 2016 by the university.
Prior to coming to KSU Dr. Forehand has been abroad working in the field of English for Speakers of Other languages as a teacher of English for Lawyers, a Director of Studies for one of the largest language schools in Ukraine and as an inspector of schools for a worldwide language organization. From 2005 to 2014 Dr. Forehand lived abroad and has traveled and worked in over 30 countries.
Prior to entering the field of education Dr. Forehand was a practicing attorney in Nebraska, licensed to practice in Nebraska and the District of Columbia (neither license currently active). From 1988 to 1994 Dr. Forehand served in the US Army attached to Intelligence and Security Command for the entirety of his active duty.
Dr. Forehand’s duties and obligations with The Graduate College are to work with all university stakeholders to increase graduate enrollment pursuant to mandate from the VP of Research, the Dean of the Graduate College and the President of KSU.
