This webpage is our Online Orientation for newly accepted Graduate students. Below you will find links to information you will need to get started. You may want to bookmark this page until you get acquainted with our campus services.
Check your Acceptance
You may have been "fully accepted" or you may have been "accepted pending" if there are still outstanding admission requirements. To see the status of your acceptance, use the Self Service Portal page.
Before you will be eligible to register for courses, you must satisfy the Lawful Presence requirement, see more info here. Using the link above to check your application status, you can view your admission checklist to see if your Lawful Presence has been cleared. If it has not, please forward your documentation to the Graduate Admissions office. You will not be allowed to register until this has been satisfied.
Look up your KSU ID# and Set up your Net ID
KSU uses a KSU ID# instead of your social security number. If you do not already know your KSU # you may look it up here: KSU# Lookup.
You will need a Net ID account to access systems such as registration, email, and online course materials. This page will help you set up your Net ID account: https://netid.kennesaw.edu

Student E-Mail Account
All official communications from the university will be sent to your KSU campus email account. To access and set up your account:
- Go to https://auth.kennesaw.edu
- Select "grad" from the drop down menu
- Login with your NetID and password
The NetID@students.kennesaw.edu email address will remain the primary means of communication for University administrative business such as Financial Aid, Registrar, and Public Safety; however, graduate students may forward their student email to their new grad email account.

First day of class is August 14, 2017, drop add begins

If you do not enroll this semester, but want to move to a future semester, you will need to "update" your application. Please use the form found here.
Tuition and Payment
Tuition and fees, along with payment options, can be found at: http://finance.kennesaw.edu/bursar/tuitionfees.php
The payment for tuition and fees for currently enrolled students is due and payable by the August 4, 2017 deadline. The final payment deadline for all students will be August 21st at 4pm.

Parking and ID Card
Card Services will provide you with the following after you have registered for courses:

- KSU Debit card - to facilitate your finances on campus
Immunization documentation is required for all students enrolled in Georgia Board of Regents institutions, including KSU. Click here for a site that will give you information about the immunization documentation. Students who do not supply this information within 6 weeks of entering KSU will not be able to register for future semesters.
Many courses use Desire2Learn to manage assignments and online course discussions. To use Desire2Learn you will need a Net ID account (see above). To access the Desire2Learn system use this link: http://d2l.kennesaw.edu.

Students with Disabilities
If you are a student with disabilities, please notify the Student Disability Services office prior to enrollment.

The Horace Sturgis Library has recently opened a Graduate Library within the main library on the third floor. There are librarians that work specifically with graduate students. More information about the Sturgis Library can be found at: http://library.kennesaw.edu
The Department of Public Safety has information about campus safety on their website found here. The Clery Act Compliance link will give you the latest statistics about campus safety.
KSU offers many opportunities for involvement on campus outside of the classroom. The Office of Student Life is your source for student groups, student government and other activities. Their website is: http://studentlife.kennesaw.edu
Graduate Student Association
KSU also offers a Graduate Student Association. They provide networking events and travel reimbursement funding for attending and/or presenting at professional development opportunities. Their website is: https://kennesaw.collegiatelink.net/organization/gsa
Campus Dining and Meal Plans
Culinary and Hospitality Services manages the campus dining hall called The Commons. You can see more information about food venues and meal plans on their website: http://dining.kennesawstateauxiliary.com
Your student fees support the Wellness Center. You can view their website for a description of the services they provide.
The KSU Bookstore is located on campus on the south end of the Student Center. You can order your books through the Bookstore to be shipped or for pick-up.
